Dear All,

Here the spring winds are coming in...Are they winds of change, of inspiration, of danger, of fresh ideas? Life gets stale sometimes and it is great to be swept up occasionally by novelty and the gifts of the Holy Spirit! Hoping this week bring for you new horizons and possibilities. Below is an opportunity for a YCW experience in January, as well as daily meditations of Pope Francis, an article on Christian courage and a useful app.

We pray for the war and persecution of many in the world today – particularly those targetted for their religion or culture. An unfortunate fact is that there are more refugees now even than after the Second World War. May we follow Jesus in being lighthouses of peace, understanding and justice for all.

In Peace,

Bib Verse Like
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:35-40 (NIV)

I feel that in all of the teachings we are given about God and Jesus the main one is to just be kind to one another. No matter who they are, no matter how you feel about them or what they have done to you. I think this Bible verse really sums up this teaching very well. I try to be kind to all people in my day-to-day life and live by the notion of what I do to others I do to God.
