Dear All, We had a wonderful first Youth-led Mass in Port Augusta on Palm Sunday, with young people playing guitar, organ, saxophone and flute, preparing the powerpoint, operating the powerpoint, bringing up the gifts and reading the various parts of the long Passion reading. Congratulations all around! On May the 13th there will be a Briefing Day on the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (December 3-5 2015 in Adelaide). I would encourage any high school or youth ministry group to send someone to this briefing day, or to at least approach me with questions to take to it. The Youth Festival is a fantastic opportunity for young people in our diocese, particularly as it is being held so close this year. It is a way for students from year 9 upwards to attend a Catholic youth gathering that is local and safe, as well as cheaper and easier than overseas trips.
